ファブリアーノ紙に引く高島のメタルポイントの捲れた線は傷口のようだ。
子どもの頃、怪我をするとピンセットで脱脂綿を挟んだオキシドールと赤チンを塗られた。あの傷口のヒリヒリする痛みに伴う切ないような悦楽にも似た記憶が蘇るのである。
そしてそのドローイング・パフォーマンスは＂公開リストカット“ の如しである。
その引かれた線に斜めの光を充てる。切れ切れに裂けた紙の繊維が捲れ、積もり重なり深い谷が河の流れのように出現する。
その陰影の織りなすす景色は、宇宙の裂け目から始まった創世記の傷口を見るようである。

The curled line drawn by Takashima’s metal point on Fabriano paper looks like a wound.
When I was young, I was treated with hydrogen peroxide and red chin painted on cotton wool pinched with tweezers when I got injured. Memories of the stinging pain of that wound, which were both painful and pleasurable, come back to me.
The fibers of the torn paper curl, pile up, overlap, and deep valleys appear like the flow of a river.
The scenery woven by the shadows seems to be looking at the wound of the Genesis that began from the crack in the universe.
